team whIRLwind Amsterdam wins the runner-up final at the RoboCup German Open 2026
The whIRLwind team participated for the first time in the RoboCup Humanoid Soccer league with the Booster K1 robot. Development of the code for the Booster K1 robots on the field. The whIRLwind team won the runner-up final of the Middle Division with 5-0 against the Ruhrbot Devils from the TU Dortmund University.

20 years of Aldebaran
The company Aldebaran was founded in 2005 by Bruno Maisonnier. From the beginnging they supported RoboCup competition in the Soccer and @Home league with their Nao and Pepper robots. Both robots can still be found in the Intelligent Robotics Lab. Unfortunatelly, their story has now come to an end. This is their farewell message:
