  • Using Neural Factorization of Shape and Reflectance for Ball Detection

    At the RoboCup Symposium 2023 in Bordeaux, the Dutch Nao Team will present a poster on how synthetic data can improve the precision of the ball detection under difficult lighting conditions.   • Dutch Nao Team at the German Open RE

    Also in 2023 the German RoboCup SPL teams came together on a long weekend called GORE (German Open Replacement Event) in Hamburg.   • Taking a robot to Mars

    The interview on what actually happens in Intelligent Robotics Lab, at the entrance of LAB42, is now online. The interview can be found at the LAB42 website.

  • Nao 3D-model in Unity

    The Intelligent Robotics Lab is modelled in Unity, which allows to experiment with different lighting conditions and viewpoints. Today our oldest Nao robot Rouge (2010) was equiped with markers and scanned in full 3D. This makes it possible to place such robot anywhere on the ray-traced field.

  • Dutch Nao Team qualification RoboCup 2023

    The Dutch Nao Team has published their qualification video for the RoboCup that will take place July 2023 in Bordeaux. In this video they show some of the latest developments which were described in their latest Qualification Report.

  • Tracking Nao’s head

    Today the students from the Dutch Nao Team 3D printed an extensions that can be clipped on the Nao robot’s head. This extension allows us to track with high accuracy the robot with the Optitrack system. This gives us an independent measurement to compare the Nao’s internal localisation with an external reference.

  • Update of the IRL website

    The website is updated to the latest php-version, which also meant that we had to give the website a new-look and feel. The chosen theme is fairy inspired.

  • Grand Opening LAB42

  • Dutch Nao Team @ RoboCup 2022

    The Dutch Nao Team has arrived in Bangkok, Thailand to compete in the RoboCup World Championships. They play against 12 other teams. There progress in the competition can be followed at https://spl.robocup.org/results-2022.
